King Salman Mosque to be completed by the end of 2018: Housing Minister

Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has revealed King Salman mosque under construction in Male' City is nearing completion.
Speaking on a programme aired on PSM News, Housing Minister Mohamed Muizzu revealed the aim is to complete the construction of the mosque by the end of the year. The mosque funded by the government of Saudi Arabia is built on the eastern waterfront of the capital city.
Once completed King Salman mosque will be the largest mosque in the Maldives. 6,000 worshippers can be accommodated inside the mosque at a time, according to housing ministry. In addition, the mosque can cater up to ten thousand people on the premises of the mosque.
The mosque is equipped with a library, a Quran centre, a multipurpose hall, a conference hall, an auditorium and a parking area.
