Shujau Usman appointed as Chief Judge of High Court

Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has appointed Judge Shujau Usman as the Chief Judge of the High Court of Maldives. Shujau Usman was appointed to the post unanimously by the approval of members of JSC who attended the meeting, according to JSC.
Shujau Usman has been on the bench of High Court since 2015. In addition, he also served as a judge in Criminal Court of Maldives.
The post of Chief Judge of the High Court was previously filled by Abdulla Didi who is now serving on the bench of Supreme Court of Maldives.
