First Lady of Maldives Fathimath Ibrahim has embarked on a trip to Baa Atoll, as part of her nationwide social campaign. As part of the trip, the first lady arrived in Dharavandhoo where she was warmly received by the citizens of the island.
During the visit to the island, the first lady met with elderly citizens, people with special needs and youth to inquire about their living conditions and listen to their concerns. The first lady is accompanied by cabinet ministers, parliamentarians and other government officials during her trip. The delegation urged the public to re-elect President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom to a second term in office to continue the development initiated by the government in the past four years.
The first lady is also scheduled to visit Dhonfanu and Kihaadhoo as part of her trip to Baa Atoll.
