Public Service Media (PSM) has launched a dedicated television channel for children. The new brand of PSM, TVM Junior was launched by Managing Director Ibrahim Khaleel.
TVM Junior is the first ever local channel dedicated for children in Maldives and will begin officially airing programmes next month. PSM aims to enhance the livelihoods of children, by airing child friendly programmes to promote Dhivehi language, Islamic values, history and education.
The channel will fully focus on promoting Dhivehi language, national values and education, Deputy Managing Director Mohamed Ikram Abdul Latheef stated speaking at the ceremony held to launch the brand. He said the content for the channel will be produced in association with Ministry of Education and other relevant authorities.
