Male' Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has begun MWSC Recycles Exhibition 2018 initiated to promote environmental awareness. The exhibition held at National Art Gallery was inaugurated by Minister of Environment and Energy Thoriq Ibrahim. Products made from materials such as plastic bottles, plastic bags and polymer are showcased at the exhibition. The exhibition will be open for four days, according to MWSC.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Environment Minister Thoriq Ibrahim stated many initiatives have begun in the past few years to ensure plastic usage is reduced and to practice recycling. In this regard, the minister highlighted the efforts of MWSC, Waste Management Corporation Limited (WAMCO) and other institutions in achieving the target. Meanwhile, Deputy Managing Director of MWSC Abdulla Saheel Jaleel said the number of products showcased at the exhibition have increased compared to last year.
MWSC initiated MWSC Recycles Exhibition aiming to promote recycling practices and engage the community in the practice of recycling.
