Embassy of Maldives in Saudi Arabia has revealed the third group of Hajj pilgrims has arrived in Jeddah.
In this regard, 101 pilgrims arrived from the third group while the first group of 88 Maldivian Hajj pilgrims arrived in Saudi Arabia on July 28, according to the embassy. In addition, the second group consisting of 97 pilgrims arrived to Jeddah on July 30.
Maldives Hajj Corporation plans to assist 600 pilgrims to perform the hajj pilgrimage this year. Meanwhile, private Hajj groups are expected to cater for about 400 Maldivians pilgrims.
The government of Saudi Arabia granted a Hajj quota of 1000 people for Maldives this year.
