The travel agency operated by the national airline, Maldivian Holidays, has launched its official website. The website was officially launched by Chairman of Island Aviation Ahmed Shafeeu and Managing Director of Island Aviation Abdul Haris at a ceremony held at the head office of Island Aviation Services Limited.
Island Aviation introduced the official website of its travel agency in its efforts to widen its scope. With the launch of Maldivian Holidays, customers will be able to make reservations, hotel and resort booking, and real-time confirmation to tourists and customers via the website.
Addressing the ceremony held to launch the website, Chairman Ahmed Shafeeu highlighted the efforts of the government to promote Maldives and expressed hope to enhance the presence of Maldivian in tourism promotional activities. Meanwhile, acting Managing Director of Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) Haris Mohamed noted the government aims to boost the amount of tourists arriving in Maldives to 8 million. It is important to introduce new innovations and technologically friendly services to achieve the objective, he added.
Maldivian Holidays was launched as a travel agency in 2012 as part of the expansion of the services provided by the airline. Maldivian Holidays was formed aiming to provide professional travel assistance, delivers inbound and outbound travel packages inclusive of airfare, land transfer, accommodation and tours.
