Fair presidential system is a trademark of the president: Minister Muizzu

Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has affirmed a fair presidential system is a trademark of President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.
In response to remarks by presidential candidate of Maldivian Democratic Party Ibrahim Mohamed Solih stating every individual will be treated fairly within the presidential system if his coalition assumes offices, the housing minister stated the only president who brought all-inclusive development to all parts of Maldives was President Yameen.
While the housing minister slammed the remarks of the opposition candidate, the incumbent president has within the past five years initiated major developmental projects in all the islands in the Maldives. In addition, the president had prioritised conducting socially beneficial projects in all islands despite the size and population or the political ideology in the community.
In this regard, even though Ibrahim Mohamed Solih had stated Baa Atoll was neglected by the government, 125 projects were conducted in the atoll in the past 5 years at a cost of over USD 48.4 million, as part of the all-inclusive development efforts of the government.
