Maldives have welcomed the first ever coralarium designed by the world renowned Jason deCaires Taylor in Fairmont Maldives Sirru Fen Fushi. Jason is also the artist who established the first ever underwater sculpture to generate corals.
The colarlarium in Fairmont Maldives Sirru Fen Fushi is developed with 14 sculptures in an underwater metal box with holes to allow sunlight into the box. The sculptures are designed in a way to allow corals to generate.
Tourists can visit the coralarium with the marine biologist of the resort allowing the visitors to dive in to the box, according to Fairmont Maldives Sirru Fen Fushi.
