Parliament Speaker Abdulla Maseeh Mohamed has expressed confidence that President Yameen is the most experienced individual in the Maldivian political arena, adding he is aware of all tactics to secure a second presidential term.
Experience is vital to win the presidential election, adding President Yameen has the will and the knowledge to succeed, Speaker Abdulla Maseeh said speaking at the function held by First Lady of Maldives to meet the residents of Fuvahmulah city residing in Male' city. Maseeh noted citizens will weigh the experience and knowledge when voting.
Moreover, Maseeh highlighted the achievements of the incumbent president during his first term in office, highlighting the current administration has spent over USD 48.8 million for the development of Fuvahmulah.
Meanwhile, Minister of Economic Development Mohamed Saeed expressed there is no political candidate that can outstand President Yameen in the upcoming election. Minister Saeed added the opposition does not work for the betterment of the country, but rather works to undermine the peace and security in the country established by the efforts of the government.
Furthermore, during the function, Minister of Environment and Energy Thoriq Ibrahim detailed on the project initiated by the government to solve the soil erosion faced in Fuvahmulah.
During the ceremony, First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim met with all the individuals who attended the function.
