Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has closed a part of the road linking Hulhule' and Hulhumale' and opens a new road for transportation.
The road was closed as the highway linking up to China Maldives Friendship Bridge covers a part of the road, according to MACL.
MACL said the new road will be used for various purposes even after the development of the highway., which would link the bridge all the way to Hulhumale', crossing through Hulhule'.
The highway development project would cost over USD 1.2 million.
