Ministry of Environment and Energy has stated efforts are underway to open the nature Park of Fuvahmulah city, which is being developed to promote eco-tourism. The park, developed under the Climate Change Adaptation Project, is funded by the European Union to protect the muddy areas and mangroves of Fuvahmulah is one of the main focuses of this project, according to the Ministry.
Platforms on the parks has been built and that they are on the edge of completing the office, according to the communication officer of the project, Ali Shamin. He said the rest of the work needed to complete the nature park will we done by the end of this month and the rules regarding the park are made and sent for publication adding various leisure activities can be conducted in the park as soon as the recreation facilitation are developed.
When the Nature Park is opened, it will help to advertise the beauty of the mangroves and will attract more people to the city, according to the Ministry.
