Ministry of Education has signed an agreement with Water Park Maldives Private Limited to construct an audio visual room and a science laboratory for Thuraakunu School in Haa Alifu Atoll. The agreement was signed by Senior Policy Executive of Education Ministry Ibrahim Ismail and Managing Director of Water Park Maldives Ahmed Afrah.
The Ministry expects the project to ease a number of challenges faced by Thuraakunu School, Senior Policy Executive Ibrahim Ismail stated speaking at the ceremony. He revealed the audio-visual room and science laboratory will be ready for use by August of this year. The project funded by the state budget would cost over USD 65,000 dollars.
There are 89 students studying in Thuraakunu School, according to Education Ministry.
