Ministry of Education has begun distributing tablets to teachers in its efforts to digitalise all schools in Maldives. The first batch of tablets were handed over to teachers of Iskandar School.
Education Ministry commenced the distribution of tablets to teachers at a ceremony held at Iskandar School. The tablets were handed over to all teachers of the school by Minister of Education Dr. Aishath Shiham. Tablets will be distributed to teachers in all the schools in Male' within this week and the distribution to atoll schools will also begin during next week, according to Education Ministry.
Special programmes under the school digitalisation project were held to familiarise teachers, Minister of Education Dr. Aishath Shiham highlighted speaking at the function. In this regard, the Education Minister noted Google Training Courses were also conducted to teachers of all schools.
Minister Aishath Shiham assured that infrastructure to deliver internet has been established in almost all schools in Maldives, to ensure the full usage of technology in education. In its efforts to digitalise the schools of Maldives, more than 70,000 tablets will be distributed by Education Ministry.
