Ministry of Tourism of Maldives has prepared to hold a tourism campaign in Russia coinciding with upcoming World Cup. The campaign will be held in the capital of Russia, Moscow, according to Tourism Ministry of Maldives. Tourism Ministry will distribute posters showcasing Maldives on 100 taxis used in Moscow, under the campaign.
Noting efforts to ease the air transportation between Maldives and Russia are in progress, Minister of Tourism Moosa Zameer highlighted Russia is an important market to Maldives. Adding this is an opportune time for such an event, the Tourism Minister expressed hope to increase the arrival of Russian tourists to Maldives, following the event.
The tourism promotion campaign is scheduled to start on June 15 and will continue for two months.
