Islamic Scholar Yousuf Estes has stated, the best approach in overcoming the challenges faced by global Muslim community is by the display of unity and upbringing the future generations which follow true principles of Islam.
Delivering a religious lecture organised by Housing Development Corporation (HDC) about ‘Misconceptions made about Islam’, renowned Islamic Scholar Yousuf Estes said Muslims have always been exemplary citizens who have always portrayed principles such as unity and caring for each other.
However, Yousuf Estes noted, with time such good practices have started to diminish its prominence in the Islamic society which has lead to the current condition of Muslims where they are suffering in poor conditions. In this regard, Yousuf Estes called on the global Muslim community to do all it takes to bring back the true principles of Islam and spread the true message of Islam to the whole world.
Continuing on, Yousuf Estes noted polytheism is the biggest sins of all and called on to refrain from committing such sins. Noting that Almighty Allah have the knowledge of all, Yousuf Estes said each individual is accountable for their own deeds and one must think about every action they commit.
Yusuf Estes, born in 1944, is an American preacher who converted from Christianity to Islam in 1991. Estes has served as a guest presenter and a keynote speaker at various Islamic events. Estes was named as the Islamic Personality of the Year at the Dubai International Holy Quran Award ceremony in 2012.
