Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO) has taken over the management of waste in public spaces of Male' city and Villimale'.
At a signing ceremony held to hand over the management of waste in public spaces of Male' city and Villimale', the agreements were signed by the Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and the Managing Director of WAMCO Mohamed Shifau.
Addressing the signing ceremony, Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Dr, Mohamed Muizzu stated, with WAMCO taking over waste management efforts in these areas, positive results would be seen soon. Minister Dr. Muizzu, called on all citizens to cooperate with WAMCO in its efforts to keep the country clean and healthy for all citizens.
As per the agreement, WAMCO has been handed over the management of waste in public spaces of Male' and Villimale' for a three year period.
