CSC successfully concludes Civil Service Conference

Civil Service Commission has successfully concluded the third edition of Civil Service Conference.
During the conference, 11 papers were compiled by civil servants and non-governmental organisations. Recommendations were also given by keynote speakers of the conference for further development of the sector. The papers focused on ways to enhance human resource of civil service.
Minister of Tourism Moosa Zameer expressed hope to see positive changes in human resources following the discussions in the conference, speaking as the chief guest of the closing ceremony. Tourism Minister Zameer also noted and acknowledged the efforts of civil servants in building the nation.
President of Civil Service Commission Dr. Ali Shameem highlighted one finding of the conference was that challenges can be overcome with a collective effort and better ways to manage can be found innovatively, speaking at the ceremony.
The theme of the third edition of the conference was "Reforming and Modernising Civil Service". Under the theme, four subthemes were formed on Accelerating Organisational Performance, Competency Based Recruitment, Digitalisation/Smart Governance and Rethinking Work Culture.
The two-day conference was attended by permanent secretaries and civil servants.
