Elections Commission of Maldives has revealed special training programmes would be held for observers, monitors and candidate representatives prior to the upcoming Presidential Election.
Special training programmes have been conducted for the employees of the commission, member of Elections Commission Ahmed Akram said in an exclusive interview with PSM News. In addition, Elections Commission has collaborated with Broadcasting Commission of Maldives to train observers from media agencies for the election.
The electoral body of Maldives would also deploy teams to different parts of the country to disseminate awareness on the upcoming Presidential Election. The commission has conducted special training programmes for the teams which include special sessions on information on observing the election and solving issues faced during the voting process.
Elections Commission said preparations are underway to hold the Presidential Election in September.
