First Lady launches Presidential Elections Volunteer Programme

First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim has become the first member of the Presidential Elections; Volunteer Programme. The membership card was handed over to First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim by the Representative of President Yameen's Campaign Office, Adil Ismail.
The Presidential Elections’ Volunteer Programme was launched at a special rally held by the ruling party at Laamu atoll on Friday.
Addressing the rally, Deputy Speaker of Parliament Moosa Manik stated that most of the opposition leaders are currently focused on fulfilling individual political motives rather than working for the betterment of the country and its people. In this regard, Moosa Manik noted that such acts contravene provisions in the Political Parties Act and thus, such parties should not be allowed to be in operation.
Addressing the ceremony, Minister of Economic Development Mohamed Saeed stated that President Yameen has been successful in investing over 15 thousand US dollars per head, in Laamu atoll.
On this note, Minister Saeed highlighted that each citizen of the country would celebrate their decision to elect President Yameen as their leader in 2013.
The special rally was attended by First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim, some cabinet ministers, parliamentarians and a huge crowd of supporters of President Yameen.
