Saudi Arabia to make special arrangements for Maldivians during Hajj

Deputy Minister of Ministry for Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia Dr. Abdul Fatah Bin Salman Mashhad assures special arrangements would be made for Maldivians taking part in the Hajj pilgrimage this year.
In a meeting held at Minister of Ministry for Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia, the two ministers exchanged views on Hajj preparations this year. In this regard, the Saudi Deputy Minister noted Maldives is an exemplary country which has always portrayed an excellent discipline and expressed hope it would be witnessed in the years to come. In the meeting, the Maldivian Islamic Minister expressed gratitude to the great assistance provided by the government of Saudi Arabia provides during the Hajj pilgrimage every year.
To ease the journey of pilgrims, the government of Saudi Arabia established a separate immigration counter for Maldivians in Jeddah airport last year.
The Maldivian Islamic Minister will conclude his official trip to Saudi Arabia on March 31.
