A Maldivian delegation has taken part in a meeting held in Thailand aimed to create awareness on the importance of healthy lifestyle and fitness in a student's life. The meeting which was held in Bangkok from March 26-27 saw the participation of World Health Organization (WHO) and health authorities from Thailand.
In addition to Maldives, delegations from Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Thailand and other health and advocacy related organisations participated in the two day meeting. In this regard, discussions were focused on organising proper activities which would help to encourage students to live a healthy life and have healthy eating habits.
The Maldivian delegation included members from the Ministry of Health, Health Protection Authority (HPA), National Communicable Disease Alliance, Tiny Hearts of Maldives and WHO Office in Maldives.
