Ministry of Environment and Energy reveals plans of holding the biggest environment symposium in the country next month.
The mega symposium is held every year to create awareness about environmental issues faced by the country. The symposium would see the participation from 55 schools from across the country, according to Environment Ministry.
In this regard, the Ministry revealed project presentations made by students would undergo a detailed reviewing process to provide funds and technical assistance to carry out projects. The selected projects for practical implementation would be announced at a special event held at Dharubaaruge convention centre next month.
Environment Ministry cited that expert advice would be provided to students to bring better outcomes from the symposium. The Ministry has opened opportunity for organisations to take part in the symposium as observers.
