Heavy goods vehicles banned during the day

Maldives Transport Authority has banned the use of heavy goods vehicles during the day, to decongest major roads of Malé City.

In a statement issued, the Maldives Transport Authority stated that the movement of goods, construction material, water and other beverages during the day are banned. The ban comes into effect on Sunday.

Movement of goods is allowed in Malé City from 2200hrs to 0600hrs, revealed the statement.
