The new Ambassador of Pakistan to Maldives Vice Admiral (Retd.) Waseem Akram has paid a courtesy call on the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives, Minister of Defence and National Security Adam Shareef Umar. During the meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Acting Foreign Minister welcomed the ambassador and congratulated him on his appointment.
Minster Adam Shareef and the ambassador discussed ways of further strengthening and diversifying the existing close relations between the Maldives and Pakistan. The Ambassador also assured his commitment to working closely with the government of Maldives to enhance collaboration in areas that are of mutual benefit to both countries.
