Quran Research Centre to be established in Maldives

Sudan University of Quran and Islamic Sciences and the Ministry of Islamic Affairs has signed an agreement on establishing a Quran Research Centre in Maldives. The agreement was signed by the Chancellor of Sudan University of Quran and Islamic Sciences, Professor Ahmed Saeed Salman and the President of the Centre for the Holy Quran, Ibrahim Rasheed Moosa.

Under the agreement, both countries will work together to establish the Quran Research Centre in Maldives and hold joint programmes to develop the knowledge of the holy Quran. The venture is a result of discussions held by Sudan and Maldives during the recent visit of the President of Centre for Holy Quran Ibrahim Rasheed Moosa to Sudan.

Sudan University of Quran and Islamic Sciences is a university run by the government of Sudan, consisting of 13 branches in different parts of the country.
