Minister of Health Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim has inaugurated the new catheterisation laboratory and the theatre complex at ADK Hosptal.
Addressing the ceremony held to inaugurate the new facilities of ADK Hospital, Minister of Health Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim applauded the work of the hospital in delivering quality healthcare services in Maldives. In this regard, Minister Nazim highlighted various developmental projects ADK has initiated to expand the scope of healthcare in Maldives noted the hospital played a crucial and integral role in the administration's aim of revolutionising the sector.
Addressing the ceremony, Chairman of ADK Enterprises Private Limited Ahmed Nashid highlighted various developmental projects initiated by the administration and noted President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom played a huge role in the development of the hospital. Nashid highlighted that the administration has always provided assistance for the progress and development of the hospital. In addition, he cited the hospital has come a long way since its inception which started at an investment of just USD 750 in 1987.
The new facilities were established at a cost of USD 10 million and would have the latest technological equipment and services available, according to ADK Hospital.
