President of Civil Service Commission Dr. Ali Shameem has noted that 2017 was a successful year despite the many challenges faced. He made the remarks during the ceremony held to release the annual report of 2017. The report was released by the President of Civil Service Commission Dr. Ali Shameem at a special function held at the Commission.

Addressing the ceremony, the President of CSC said that 2017 started with budgetary challenges and issues. He however noted that all those issues were overcome by introducing and implementing innovative new policies.Dr. Shameem highlighted the achievement of establishing a trust fund of the commission with successful discussions with Ministry of Finance and Treasury. He expressed the institution was successful in developing and enhancing human resources sector in Maldives.
