Maldives and UAE share brotherly bond: Ambassador Niyaz

Ambassador of Maldives to UAE Dr. Hussain Niyaz has revealed, efforts by the administration to attract investments has brought positive end-results by paving way for major developmental projects via UAE. The Maldivian Ambassador made the statement in an exclusive interview with PSM News given on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with UAE.

Ambassador of Maldives to UAE Dr. Hussain Niyaz said Maldives and UAE share a close and brotherly bond. Ambassador Niyaz said, the recent visit of President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom to UAE testifies to the close bond both countries share.

During the visit, President Yameen held important discussion on providing easy visa services for Maldivians travelling and residing in UAE. Niyaz said, discussions are proceeding at a fast pace to provide on arrival visa service to Maldivians in UAE.

Furthermore, Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohamed Asim has also extended greetings and felicitations to the government and the people of UAE on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between both nations. In this regard, Minister Asim thanked the government of UAE for the generous support and assistance extended towards the socio-economic development of the Maldives since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

UAE plays a crucial role in charting and operationalising the socio-economic development course of the Maldives.
