Maldives aims to develop every island, not one part of country

Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has assured issues related to transportation between islands will be solved within the next four months, addressing the press briefing held to brief the international media on the current situation in Maldives.

Development and infrastructure projects are conducted in all parts of the country rather than focusing on some islands, said Housing Minister Mohamed Muizzu. The Maldivian Housing Minister revealed the government has constructed harbours in more than 100 islands, revealing the efforts of the government to solve transportation issues. Furthermore, Minister Muizzu spoke about the housing projects initiated by the government to ease the livelihoods of the citizens of Maldives.

Moreover, Housing Minister expressed gratitude to the countries and international partners for the consistent aid provided for the development of the country. In this regard, he highlighted the assistance provided by foreign aid in constructing the 25-storey Dharumavantha Hospital which will revolutionise the health sector of Maldives and further noted the assistance of international stakeholders in constructing the first ever bridge of Maldives.
