Maldives and Sri Lanka have discussed to provide training opportunities for Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF).
The discussions were held by Minister of Defence and National Security Adam Shareef Umar and the visiting high delegation of Sri Lanka's General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University. The discussions focused on education opportunities for Maldivian officers through collaborations between MNDF College of Defence and Security Studies and the Sri Lankan defence university. Discussions also focused on research work in different fields and assistance which can be provided by MNDF, revealed the Defence Ministry.
The high level delegation of the Sri Lankan university also met with Chief of Defence Force Major General Ahmed Shiyam.
