Government has a strong vision of development: Thoriq

Minister of Environment and Energy Thoriq Ibrahim has stated that the administration of President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has a strong vision of developing the country, as a country that has the capacity to tackle the challenges faced due to the diverse changes in climate rather than the ideology used by former President Nasheed of migration to other, safer countries.

Minister Thoriq highlighted that President Yameen has identified the key issues faced by the locals and has brought permanent or long term solutions for these issues. He applauded the vision shown by the president in solving issues such as waste management, provision of clean water and establishment of sewerage systems.

On this note Minister Muizzu said that the administration came up with projects such as the China-Maldives Friendship Bridge and the Emboodhoo Lagoon project which would revolutionize the whole country.

Minister Thoriq and Minister Dr. Muizzu was joined at the panel by Minister of Education Dr. Aishath Shiham and Minister of Health Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim who briefed the media on the achievements of the current administration.
