International Aid Campaign (IAC) has revealed official activities of Ghouta Emergency Fund in Maldives has been completed but individuals can deposit contributions to its bank accounts until March 13.
IAC initiated Ghouta Emergency Relief Fund in Maldives on February 25 to help Muslims suffering in Ghouta city of Syria. The charity launched a 15-day nation-wide campaign with the affiliation of other local non-governmental organisations and noted only financial aid would be accepted.
In this regard, various fund raising events were held in multiple islands of Maldives. The grand total amount collected by Ghouta Emergency Fund in Maldives would be revealed with the completion of the campaign, according to IAC.
IAC noted the financial aid from Maldives would be handed to a Turkish-based Syrian aid agency to deliver aid to Muslims trapped in Ghouta.
