Maldives has receiveed two international awards at ITB Berlin 2018.
Maldives was listed as one of the most desirable destinations in Asia and was nominated in the beach category for most desirable destination by DSI, which a non-governmental organisation which surveys and grades tourism markets across the world.
The Maldivian stand at the fair has been one of the most favorite and visited stands, according to Maldives Marketing and Public Relation Corporation (MMPRC). During the five-day fair held at the German capital, the contingent of Maldives met business personnel and held productive meetings regarding investment opportunities in the tourism industry.
MMPRC revealed, the support received for the Maldivian stand stands proof to the global prominence and popularity of the tourism industry of Maldives.
The VR experience and the Maldivian cuisine were popular among visitors, according to MMPRC.
