TVET to begin computer coding training programmes

Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVET) has ervealed plans of commencing a computer coding training programme.

In an interview with PSM News, Director of TVET Aminath Asra revealed, with the aim of providing quality education for all students, the authority has planned to introduce a computer coding training programme which can be completed, while at home. 

Asra revealed, 300 students are currently enrolled in the programmes provided by the authority and expressed hope that the new computer coding training programme would receive a positive response. The core objective of the new programme is to provide quality education and make students more internet friendly, she added.

Ministry of Education has pledged to provide 1,000 training opportunities for students, in the field of software and coding.
