Bank of Maldives (BML) has launched a new internship programme, targeted for Maldivian students who graduate from educational institutions. BML revealed that the programme was launched with the core objective of providing Maldivian youth with the first-hand experience of the banking sector and to encourage the youth to join the sector.
The programme which would have an internship period of 12 months is open for all students and graduates of educational institutes registered under BML Prospects, according to BML. The national bank said interns who excel in the internship period would stand a chance to be recruited as permanent employees of the company.
BML has a nationwide network of 34 branches across all 20 atolls, 95 ATMs, 5,000 Point of Sale merchants, 230 cash agents, and 34 self-service banking centres, as well as a full suite of digital and online banking services.
