Minister of Economic Development Mohamed Saeed has stated the European Union Council Conclusion on Maldives proves the opposition coalition and its statements are not accepted in the international arena. Economic Minister Saeed made the statement, addressing the ceremony held to commence the construction of housing towers of State Trading Organisation (STO).
Minister Saeed highlighted that some media agencies and the opposition coalition have been spreading misinterpreted information to confuse the public and international stakeholders. The decision of the European Union to not take action against Maldives proves that there is no strength in such claims, expressed the Minister.
Every individual must respect the independence and sovereignty of the nation, particularly when the opposition tries to undermine belief of the people, stated the Economic Minister adding the current Administration has established a stable economy in the Maldives.
