Minister of Economic Development Mohamed Saeed has affirmed the economy is healthy despite the many obstacles Maldives face in its attempts to further enhance the economy.
The huge infrastructure projects initiated by the Government proves the independent economy sustained in the country, Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed noted addressing a gathering held by Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM). Reflecting back on the past presidencies, the Economic Minister highlighted that President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom is the only President who is continuously working for the betterment of the nation. The Government will not give any chance to the opposition to create chaos in the country and destabilise the economy, assured the Minister.
The gathering held in Hulhumale' to show the support of youth for the Government was attended by First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim, cabinet ministers, parliamentarians and government officials. At the gathering, the Maldivian youth expressed their support and hope for the development initiatives of the Government.
