Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) has described the claims of Leader of Jumhooree Party that Maldives will be decimated by famine within the next two months as imprudent.
Responding to the claims, Deputy Leader of PPM Abdul Raheem Abdulla told a press conference that Qasim Ibrahim made the claims to create chaos among people and to convince more people join opposition rallies. Citing the Presidential Address delivered on Wednesday, Abdul Raheem Abdulla emphasised that Maldives will not experience any food scarcity.
It is unacceptable that some media agencies broadcast interviews of fugitives and called on such outlets to refrain from such acts, according to Abdul Raheem.
