Fenaka to provide electricity for waste management facilities

Ministry of Environment and Energy has contracted Fenaka Corporation Limited to provide electricity services for waste management facilities established in 6 islands. The agreements were signed by Minister of Environment and Energy Thoriq Ibrahim and Managing Director of Fenaka Corporation Ahmed Shareef.

Under the agreement Fenaka Corporation will provide electricity services for waste management facilities established in Fuvamulah city, Maamendhoo and Kon'dey of Gaafu Alifu Atoll, Gan of Laamu Atoll, Kudahuvadhoo of Dhaalu Atoll and Milandhoo of Shaviyani Atoll.

The projects would be funded by the Public Sector Investment Programme (PSIP) budget. The projects would cost about USD 142,296 U.S. dollars and should be completed within 120 days.
