Parliamentarian Ibrahim Didi has said the 12 Members of Parliament must take responsibility for the current situation in the country. Noting that the 12 parliamentarians were elected due to the faith people had in them, Ibrahim Didi stated that some parliamentarians are trying to challenge and halt the advancements brought to the country by President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.
Speaking at a gathering held by Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM), Ibrahim Didi described the act as betraying the citizens who voted for them to be elected. The opposition tries to portray a certain picture to the international community through their actions, according to the parliamentarian.
At the function attended by First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim, he called on the opposition to stop such acts immediately.
