President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has sent a message of sympathy to the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, following the mass shooting in Parkland, Florida.
In the President’s message, President Yameen expressed that he was deeply shocked and saddened to learn of the attacks in Parkland, causing the tragic loss of life and injury to many, including young children. President Yameen cited that Maldives strongly condemns such cowardly acts of terror and all acts of violence perpetuated against innocent people, causing absolute misery, instilling fear and distress.
President said that the Government and the people of the Maldives convey deepest sympathies to the Government and people of the United States during this challenging time. President Yameen also extended condolences to the members of the bereaved families.
