Minister of Environment and Energy Thoriq Ibrahim has stated that modern development was brought to Maldives during the tenure of President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.
President Yameen has shown exemplary efforts in developing the nation by closely bonding with all Maldivian citizens, the Environment Minister said speaking with PSM News. The Minister cited that President Yameen has navigated Maldives through the roughest phase of Maldivian economy and always stood loyal to provide rights of Maldivians.
Furthermore, Minister Thoriq stated the opposition coalition has been exerting major efforts to topple the current administration since President Yameen assumed office in 2013. In this regard, Minister Thoriq applauded the courage and bravery of President Yameen for withstanding the political obligations.
The Environment Minister said President Yameen has been successful in foiling the plots of opposition to topple the government via constitutional powers such as Judiciary and Parliament.
