Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has decided to send 8 employees to Singapore for work experiences under its initiative overseas on the job training programme. The overseas training programme was initiated by MACL in collaboration with SATS Singapore. The training will be conducted at Changi Airport of Singapore adding that the training will cover important areas of airport operation, according to MACL.
At the ceremony held to inaugurate the overseas on the job training programme for MACL talents in collaboration with SATS Singapore held in HIH, Managing Director of MACL, Adil Moosa highlighted the importance of further developing human resources to meet the standards of services with the expansion of the Velana International Airport (VIA) project.
In this regard, the training with SATS Singapore will enable their staff to attain the best practices in the field and enhance the services provided in VIA, said Adil Moosa. Speaking at the ceremony, senior vice President of SATS Singapore mentioned the developments brought to the aviation sector of the Maldives and noted that VIA has achieved a lot within the past few years.
A special committee of MACL selected 8 employees under a specified criterion for the three month long training programme of MACL and SATS Singapore.
