Ministry of Islamic Affairs has revealed that donations over USD 909,000 were made for patients with medical conditions seeking financial assistance.
In this regard, Zakat Fund donated for patients with kidney diseases, heart diseases and lung diseases in 2017. Islamic Ministry stated that arrangements for financial assistance will be provided in accordance to the procedures, upon request.
Under the Zakat Fund, the Ministry has made various donations for patients to undergo bone marrow transplant procedures and has provided scholarships for students pursuing higher studies.
