Dharumavatha hospital to open recruitment opportunity

Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has revealed plans of recruiting staff for Dharumavantha Hospital, which is being developed in Male' city.

In an exclusive interview with PSM News, Director, Public Relations and Media of IGMH Ahmed Mausoom revealed that the efforts of identifying job opportunities for different medical sections of the hospital is progressing at a fast pace, with the aim of recruiting qualified staff for the state of the art healthcare facility. Dharumavantha Hospital which is being developed in multiple phases is expected to be operational by July 26.

Under the efforts to expand the healthcare sector of Maldives, the administration of President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has planned to inaugurate Dharumavantha Hospital by July of this year. The new 25-storey state of the art facility being developed in capital Male is expected to revolutionise the Maldivian healthcare sector.

The Maldivian Government contracted the development of the hospital to Singapore-based Chung Hwa Engineering Construction. The project is to cost over USD 136 million, which makes it the largest investment in the healthcare sector of Maldives. 60% of the construction phase of the Dharumavantha Hospital has now been completed, as per information provided by IGMH.
