Minister of Education Dr. Aishath Shiham has met with the cadet team participating in India Republic Day Camp. Four cadets and two officers from Maldives are participating in the camp held from January 15 to 30 in New Delhi, India.
During the meeting, Education Minister Dr. Aishath Shiham appreciated the strong outcome of the past camps and its participants. On this context, the Minister expressed hope that this year's participants will also showcase good behavior and uphold the values of the country.
The cadet team participating in the camp will visit the Indian Military Academy, Jaipur, Taj Mahal, Qutb Minar and other historical sites in India. Moreover, the team is also set to meet the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in addition to Indian Defence Minister, Chief of Army, Navy staffs and Director General of National Cadet Corps.
This is the 4th international camp Maldives is participating in the past five months.
