December records most number of tourist arrivals in a month

Latest statistics has shown that Maldives attained a record number of tourist arrivals in December 2017.

Maldives witnessed a large number of tourist arrivals in 2017, with December recording the most number of tourist arrivals in one month. In December, over 146 thousand tourists arrived in Maldives.

Moreover, the statistics also revealed that the number of passengers who obtained services from Velana International Airport increased significantly over the past year. Maldives received a record breaking 1,389,548 tourist arrivals in 2017.
