Bank of Maldives has geared up to host a major regional banking conference in Maldives next year. The Asian Bankers Association (ABA) announced that its 35th General Meeting and Conference will be held in Kurumba Maldives in November 2018. With 80 member institutions across 25 Asian countries, the ABA works to advance the interests of the banking and finance industry as well as to increase regional economic cooperation.
Its annual conference provides an important opportunity for industry leaders to discuss relevant issues and opportunities and over 160 delegates from across the region will attend, along with a number of esteemed international speakers. BML is represented on the Board of ABA by CEO and Managing Director, Andrew Healy.
Andrew Healy said that BML is delighted that a Maldivian bank got a chance to host a prestigious conference. The conference will provide a great opportunity to showcase the country, not just in terms of financial services but more broadly, to very influential international audiences, he added.
