The Maldives Integrated Tourism Development Corporation (MITDC) has signed partners for the tourism countdown show, "Welcome 2018". :Welcome 2018: is a tourism countdown show, held jointly by Ministry of Tourism and Maldives Integrated Tourism Development Corporation (MITDC). MITDC revealed plans of bringing famous Indian artists, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Mika Singh along with other artists, to perform in the show.
At a ceremony held today, the partners of the Welcome 2018 show were signed by the Deputy Minister of Ministry of Tourism Hussain Liraar and Managing Director of MITDC Mohamed Shahid.
A diverse organisation, excelling in entertainment, media marketing and consultancy, Portfolio Managing Events was signed as the Event Manager while Chopart Private Limited was signed as the Local Assisting Partner. Meanwhile, Public Service Media (PSM) was signed as the Media Partner, while Sifainge Welfare Private Limited signed as the Logistics and Stage Setup Partner.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister, Hussain Liraar highlighted the assistance provided by companies to make the show a success. The three partners signed for the event are the best in their respective fields, he added.
Managing Director of MITDC, Mohamed Shahid stated that they are working to make this year's countdown show more interesting and unique than previous shows. In this regard, he noted that this year's show will see the performance of many international artists.
Managing Director of PSM, Ibrahim Khaleel assured that the company aims to promote the show and will broadly work to deliver information regarding the show. Furthermore, Khaleel stated that such shows pave way to market Maldives as a tourist destination.
The countdown show held by the Tourism Ministry aims to increase the number of tourist arrivals year on year.
